Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Well, y'all, I don't know what you are planning to do with two weeks off from school, but I know what I'm doing. Hopefully there won't be any broken bones when we all return to school. Have an awesome holiday break. We'll resume our super-fun ASL Club activities on January 9th. The plan is to play in the snow so bring your warm clothes and pray for a big blizzard.

Christmas Carols and Hot Chocolate

Since there wasn't any snow to play in, we stayed in and drank hot chocolate and learned a few Christmas songs.

Okay, ladies, there will be a pop quiz next week. Your quiz will consist of Jingle Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Let's go play in the snow!!!

Hey, all you ASL Club members. It's time for another activity. The ASL Club officers planned a fun snow day for our activity. The only problem is... THERE'S NO SNOW! What!?! No snow in December? In Utah?

So, instead of playing in the snow, we will be learning Christmas songs in sign language. I know what you are thinking... it's not the same. But we will still have fun. So, please come to room 225 this Friday the 5th at 2:30. See you then.

Happy Birthday, Alise.

On Friday, November 21st we celebrated the 18th birthday of one of the ASL Club members by making pizza and cookies.

Here's the birthday girl!

Get in line, everyone. Pizza on the right; cookies on the left.

Even our friend, Ben, came to help make cookies.

Girls, get out of the cookie dough! You're going to get sick.

Mmm, olives.

Look at our cute little pizzas!

How are the pizzas, girls?

Mmm, yummy!

Hey, where's my pizza?

Making a Movie

Hey, ASL Club! Let's make a movie.

Let's get our mustache on.

Looks like someone doesn't want a mustache

Ooh, that's hot.

Danielle looks ready.

Can you say 'contradiction'?

Nice.

Strike a pose, girls.

Ha! Melissa didn't think this picture would end up on the blog.

Here we are. Let's make a movie.

Got Culture?

Here's our movie.

Halloween Party

Hey, everyone! Welcome to the ASL Club's Halloween party. We had a great time eating junk food, dressing up in costumes and playing games.

We even had a little visitor at our party. Isn't he cute with his big sister?

Look at these two. Stuffing their faces with caramel apples while they are supposed to be making the "Pin the Smile on the Punkin" game.

Ooh, a pretty princess, a sticky apple, and a 50's chic in a poodle skirt.

So, the girls are in costume, but what is the apple supposed to be?

There are those silly apples again.

Finally, no apples. But now we have coconuts :)

Poor, Jay. The only guy in a room full of chics.

Careful, Hannah. She might cast a spell on you.

Okay, what's up with the apples? Where's mine?

Homecoming Parade

The ASL Club performed during the Homecoming Parade on Monday, September 22, 2008. They learned to sign the song One Step at a Time, by Jordan Sparks. It took hours of practice; everyday for more than a week to get the signs memorized.

The day of the parade we all got new ASL Club T-shirts (Thanks, Mr. Higley and Sarai-go public relations queen!). Duh, Carlee. You have it on backwards.

That's better. Thanks for showing us how to wear our shirts, girls.

Now that we're dressed, let's trash the car. Oops, I mean decorate it.

Okay, girls, let's line up and get ready to go. I hope you can walk the entire way in those heels. Don't worry, we're only walking a couple of miles. We started at the old Webster Elementary driving range and walked along main street back to Cyprus High.

Here we are walking along main street. We have "fallen in love". Aren't we cute?

Thanks, Lammy Lamm! The car worked great!
